Nursing

What is a Mental Health Nurse?
The primary role of a Mental Health Nurse is to provide care to patients with psychiatric disorders, mental health issues or behavioural problems. Many of the tasks performed by a Mental Health Nurse would be familiar to that of a Psychiatrist and include diagnosis, therapy and recommendations of medications.
(NHS England)
What we Provide.
We always offer a free telephone call to parents to discuss the child's needs. Then, we invite you in for a face to face (or Zoom) session to carry out a full assessment. This might highlight issues around:

  • Anxiety and stress
  • School related issues
  • Low mood / mood disorders
  • Self esteem / confidence and resilience
  • Mindfulness
  • Trichotillomania
  • Grief and Bereavement
  • Medication advice and signposting (please note, we do not prescribe meds)
We have been working as a team helping young people for many years. We actively work within the education system, empowering children and young people to embrace their mental health, learn to be resilient and utilise coping mechanisms that will stay with them for life.
Why Choose us?
What are our fees?

We charge £60 per session for both nursing or therapy.
(ADHD Assessments are priced separately).
Sessions may include:

  • Risk assessments

  • Goal-focused therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural therapy techniques

  • Compassion Focussed therapy techniques

  • Medication advice

  • Mental State examination

Please be aware of the following:
We do not prescribe medication. This is not because we don't see great results with the right meds, but we prefer to focus on therapeutic interventions. Most doctors are reluctant to prescribe medication to under 18's and will often ask for other avenues to be explored first. If we feel that medication is appropriate, we can discuss this with you and liaise with your GP if this is necessary.
